christmas singles

“oh when i was a kid/ oh how magic it seemed/ oh please let me sleep it’s christmas time.”

Since the inception of the tenclub in 1991, Pearl Jam has sent a vinyl-only Christmas Single annually to members of the tenclub. ironically, the single often appeared in members’ mailboxes closer to easter than the intended christmas leading to the phrase “holiday single”. Some simply call it the “annual single” given the unpredictability of its arrival.

Though the band’s individual religious bends are unclear, what is clear is that they hold in their hearts a special fondness for Christmas and their fans.

This was played and recorded on that date in Memphis, TN, not in Vegas. That was my first Pearl Jam show. The crowd went nuts.

WOWW the Sonic Reducer you posted is a 263 kbit/s VBR version!!! I have been listening to the crappy 160 kbit/s MP3 with the skip at 2:36 for about 15 years now! I can’t tell you how happy I am to finally get a nice copy of this song. I’ve tried years ago and nothing but that same 160 kbit copy always shows up.

I don’t know where you got this 263 kbit VBR version but I’m very happy and thankful for it. Early Christmas present for me! Thanks again.
