Good morning gremmies. Although the dot net is most focused on Pearl Jam, we take a keen interest in Glen Hansard. Have you checked out his latest, Didn’t He Ramble? Brass, bass, and bellowing, it’s worth a listen. We have added You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere and Take the Heartland; studio recordings from the I’m Not There and Hunger Games soundtracks respectively. You can find them here.
Good day gremmies. We’ve added “The Weight” and “Das Model” to Glen Hansard’s Signature Live section. Both are from a show in Europe in June, 2012. The Weight features various singers, including Hansard, just like the version by The Band. Das Model is a song by the German electronica band Kraftwerk You can grab them here.
good evening gremmies. we’ve added Glen Hansard’s performance of The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down. This version includes verses sung by Lisa Hannigan and John Smith as well. It was performed in July, 2012 at Chicago’s Architectural Artifacts, an 80,000-museum/event space in the Ravenswood neighborhood. You can grab it here.
When it rains it pours. The third Swell Season song in nearly as many days, today we’ve added “When I Paint My Masterpiece”. Bob Dylan wrote this song, but it was first recorded by the Band. You can find it here and on gremmie radio. Enjoy.
